LiRE was founded by Adina David and is slowly adding local chapter leaders and committee members to its growing initiatives. They'll be added to the site as we grow.

Adina David

Founder & Director

Adina started LiRE as a way to network with other women in the property industry in London, shortly upon arriving from New York in 2016.

She is passionate about gender equality and hopes the group will help women across the industry and the globe support one another.

Adina is a global real estate investment management executive focused on the alternatives segment. Before launching her own ventures she was Executive Director at MGT Investment Management where she was responsible for leading the company's rental living strategy in the UK. Prior to joining MGT, Adina was Director of Urban Living at Greystar, tasked with consolidating the company's global strategy around the development and acquisition of urban living assets. She started her career in property with Knight Frank in Romania in 2010 and subsequently specialized in the residential sector working for The Dermot Company in New York and Greystar in London.

Adina holds an MSc in Real Estate from NYU and a BA from Emory University. She is an active member of ULI UK and ULI Europe. She has been named a RESI Trailblazer (PropertyWeek, 2018), a woman shaping the future of RE in the UK (Bisnow, 2019), a Rising Star by PropertyEU and Estates Gazette (2020), a UK BTR Influencer (EG, 2022), and was recipient of ULI UK's Emerging Talent Award (2024). Adina spends most of her spare time cycling.

Our initiatives are run by women who also work in real estate and who understand the challenges faced. LiRE works because it is supported by genuine community.

Rebecca Plant

Rebecca Plant is a Chartered Surveyor at CBRE, based in London, specialising in data centre site transactions across Europe. Becca holds an MSc in Real Estate from the University College of Estate Management, which she obtained whilst working at CBRE. Becca works with, and advises, a variety of clients including data centre operators and developers on their real estate transactions across Europe.

Champions Lead

Emily Chandler

Emily Chandler is a commercial real estate solicitor with a primary focus on private equity real estate. Her work often involves a cross-border element, and she has particular expertise in indirect real estate transactions, real estate M&A, real estate funds and joint ventures. Emily advises a range of clients including UK and overseas institutional investors, private equity firms, asset managers and developers on real estate transactions across many sectors, but predominantly in logistics, life sciences and living.

Issie Thorneycroft

Issie Thorneycroft is a Graduate Surveyor at JLL, based in London, and is currently undergoing a part-time MSc in Real Estate from the University College of Estate Management as well as working towards her APC. Issie has recently completed a year in Asset Management, dealing specifically with business space and hotel assets, and is looking to expand her knowledge of the industry in her future rotations within the company.
